JCM has committed to expanding opportunity through access to education. In Salima, we responded to community concerns about the long distances learners had to travel to access secondary education by constructing the Katawa Community Day Secondary School, including classrooms and teacher housing. The school opened in 2025 with 44 Form 1 learners, 18 of whom received bursaries from JCM.

We also provided furniture, textbooks and other educational materials, and supported the establishment of school governance structures, including the Board of Governors, the Parent-Teacher Association, and the Mothers Group.
