As JCM continued to expand during 2024-2025, the company strengthened female representation in leadership, recognising the importance of diverse perspectives in shaping inclusive and effective decision-making. This builds on JCM’s ongoing commitment to gender inclusion, including alignment with the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), the establishment of the IDEA Committee, implementation of the Gender Action Plan (GAP), and participation in the 2X Challenge, embedding these priorities within the company’s growth strategy.
This shift was reflected in targeted leadership appointments and promotions across the business. Saira Soomro was promoted to General Counsel & Company Secretary; Grace Kalowa Kaonga to Country Lead, Malawi; Irati Otamendi to Head of Corporate Services; and Tiwo Hara to HR & Social Manager, Malawi. In addition, Izza Khan joined the company as General Manager HR, Pakistan. Together, these appointments reflect a deliberate effort to strengthen leadership through locally grounded expertise and more inclusive representation, supporting more informed decision-making across JCM.
