Vice President, Finance
Joseph is the Vice President of Finance at JCM. He has over 17 years of Project and Corporate Finance experience and joins JCM from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a division of the World Bank Group, where he spent the last 4 years as Principal Investment Officer, responsible for originating and executing Power and Infrastructure deals across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to joining IFC Joseph was the CEO of a US based renewable energy developer, a company he led after working for more than 11 years as a banker in roles at country and regional levels with global investment banks in London, South Africa and the Middle East.
Joseph owns rich product and deal execution knowledge related to Project and Corporate Finance and has a deep knowledge of several industries. Within the Energy & Power sector, he has advised international sponsors and raised capital for power plants (IPP’s and IWPP’s) and distribution companies across different countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the USA, amongst others.
Joseph has received several deal and division awards by international banking publications such as Euromoney, Project Finance Magazine, MEED and IFR. Joseph holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School in New York as well as a Master and Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
