Starting his career in Hong Kong in 1992, Phylip was involved in various large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across Asia, and from 2002, in North America and Europe. In 2008, Phylip moved into the renewable energy sector and became Vice President Sales for Vestas Wind Systems (Vestas) in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2010 Phylip joined, on behalf of Vestas, the Development Team of the Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) project in Kenya. Prior to joining the JCM team, Phylip moved across to LTWP in 2015 to become its General Manager. Phylip was responsible for overseeing the construction phase of the project and ensure a smooth transition into LTWP’s long-term operations.
Phylip was born in the Netherlands and graduated with an MBA degree from Erasmus University in
Rotterdam in 1991.
