Raoul Kameni holds a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Cameroon and has over ten years of experience working in Cameroon’s industrial, oil, and energy sectors. Raoul worked at ENGIE for five years as a Project Developer, focusing on the development of an LNG project in Cameroon. Before joining ENGIE, he spent over four years as a Project Manager at Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd.
In addition to his engineering background, Raoul also has considerable experience in consulting. He is the CEO of a Cameroonian consulting company that he founded in July 2016 which operates in the industrial and energy sectors, providing consulting services mainly in project management, project development, market research, and strategic analysis.
Raoul joined the JCM Power team in September 2016 as the Project Developer for Cameroon. He is currently working on the development of the Mbalmayo solar PV plant in Cameroon (72 MWdc and 60 MWac), with responsibilities that include providing technical and administrative support for permitting and licensing the project, drafting the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study, negotiating key project documents for the market watch, and advising JCM on the implementation of its commercial strategy in Cameroon.
