DHABEJI

In 2024, a consortium comprising JCM, Burj Energy International Management Limited and Rana Nasim Ahmed submitted a bid in response to a request for proposal issued by K-Electric Limited for an up to 240MW solar PV and wind hybrid project, to be located within a 50km radius of the Dhabeji grid station in Sindh. The consortium was declared as the lowest bidder in September 2024, with the Bid Evaluation Report being officially approved by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) in May 2025.

This landmark facility will supply power to K-Electric at an exceptionally low tariff of PKR 8.9189/kWh (equivalent to $0.031/kWh). The project stands as a model for delivering affordable, sustainable energy to the people of Karachi and beyond. The Financial Close is expected by end of year 2025.
